Dr Stephanie Spincer is the director of Scientifically Speaking. She has worked in Australia, the UK and Europe in the resource industry, academia and policy advisory sectors. Stephanie’s science communication experience includes roles at the Royal Society in London, the UK Parliamentary Office of Science & Technology, NSW Parliament, CSIRO and the Australian Bureau of Meteorology advising politicians on complex scientific issues.

Over the last five years, Stephanie has developed a program of science incursions for primary schools, focusing on the teaching of real science in an engaged way.

Stephanie has a BSc (Hons) in Geology and Geophysics from the University of Sydney (Australia), a PhD in Earth Sciences from the University of Cambridge (UK) and an Masters in Science Communication from Imperial College, London (UK).
